A R T I S T B I O
Hi! I'm April!
I am a Chattanooga-based visual artist and designer. My traditional work was featured in a juried art exhibition at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2018, and was exhibited in the Tennessee Board of Regents office in Nashville, TN in 2014. You have also seen my work in the Chattanooga Public Library, Chattanooga State Community College, ArtsBuild, ELLA Chattanooga, and other local venues.
The name Lib in Color has various meanings. It is a reference to the phrase "in living color" used during the advent of color television (and that one TV show from the 90s). It also represents my lived experience as both a librarian and artist of color.
I aspire to bring my unique color and voice to the field of library marketing for the betterment of the communities we serve.
